Sometimes on the trail I can't shake the feeling that someone is watching me.

Doug: Bloomington, Illinois, United States; I like to bike. Through the years, people from Colorado or Arizona or even Scotland have posed the same question: "When you're riding, what the hell is there to see in Central Illinois?" So here is my defense of the flatlands. Or maybe it's a defense of getting outside and discovering what's there. As the coffee mug says, "No matter where you go — there you are."
