DAY 51

Trail Mojo.

You never really know what's
going to happen on the trail,
do you? A day like today —
gray, drizzly and foreboding —
well, it just feels better to bring
along your mojo!

My preference is for a Yoda.
He's wise, if a bit puckish, and
balances perfectly on my handlebars
no matter what the terrain.

DAY 50

 The trail never sleeps.

I was impressed to see a construction crew erecting some huge concrete columns near ISU late
on Thursday.

Yes, this is a picture of a dude grinding metal outside at night. Sparks a-flyin'. I've always wanted to get this shot!

DAY 49

 Raisin' cane.

It gives me great pleasure to see the black raspberry canes along the trail.

Mark those locations well for next June.

DAY 48

It makes me a little nervous to see all of the trees with buds on as we head into the cold season. I mean, obviously the system works, but it seems counter-intuitive.

Best of luck to these little guys in the coming months.

DAY 47

It was an amazing December day on the trail. 68 degrees at the time this photo was shot.

Photographers call the refraction of sunlight through clouds "Jesus rays." Very dramatic.

DAY 46

Random red ball in an unlikely Christmas tree.

Close by where the trail goes under Towanda behind College Hills Mall.

DAY 45

Today is the first ever Global Fatbike Day.

If you see anyone riding a fatbike on the trail, be sure to wish them a happy GFBD!
